The Moscow Exchange – multifunctional trading platform, dealing with securities, currencies and products – has become the first local company to join HyperLedger consortium. It is reported by the press service of the Exchange.
HyperLedger represents a group of companies specializing in IT and financial sphere, whose aim is to research blockchain. Activities of the consortium are divided into technical and marketing directions.
Moreover, a council of end users was set up for testing developments. The project was developed by Linux Foundation with support from IBM, several world banks and blockchain startups.
After joining HyperLedger, the Moscow Exchange will be able to use ‘developer’s library’, namely to create products on the base of distributed ledger. The trading platform is also planning to research the benefits of using blockchain in trading operations.
